To promote the new dark mode UI on MongoDB Atlas, a multi-platform campaign was launched to drive engagement in users.

Rather than using a recording, a short promotional video with a simplified UI animation visually referencing back to the actual product was created for better engagement that suits the social platform which was the main audience for this campaign.











After rounds of storyboards, style frames and collaborating with multiple teams including a copywriter and social team, the promotion successfully drove the launch. Since the release, we've seen over 16,000 users select either the Dark Theme or Match OS settings option.
